Hello everyone! Welcome to Saturday Morning Roundup! Here I wrap up happenings here at Color Me Frugal during the week and share with you some of my favorite posts that I enjoyed from other sites this week. I hope you’ll enjoy! Wow, another busy week zoomed by. My blogging schedule that I set for myself calls for me to get up early every morning so I can work on the blog for an hour or two before I go to work. I think it’s starting to catch up with me! I’m looking forward to catching up on some major zzzs this weekend! I’ve also got a friend coming into town and I’m meeting her for lunch tomorrow so that will be really fun! I haven’t see her in quite a while.
I actually managed to complete my Christmas shopping this week (thank goodness!), which will save me from the hordes at the mall this weekend. Now I’ve just got to finish the wrapping! What about everyone else out there- are you all done, or are you going to fall victim to the mall this weekend?
Below are the posts we published this week:
Monday 12/16- 8 Ways to Save Money in the Shower
Wednesday 12/18- Yakezie Challenge Update
Thursday 12/19- Why I’m Keeping My Crappy Car
Here are some articles we enjoyed from other sites this week:
Kristin at Get Rich Slowly writes, Do Expiration Dates Make us Wasteful? I was especially interested in the answer to this question, since I admit to having expiration date paranoia in the past. Kristin dug into this question and found some interesting answers.
Tanya at Budget and the Beach writes, From the Biggest Loser to Bionic Body: An Interview with Kim Lyons. Tanya interviewed the former Biggest Loser trainer and uncovered the unlikely path that she took to becoming a successful trainer and entrepreneur. I think this post has a really good message- if you don’t like what you are doing, change it! You might find something more awesome than you could have ever dreamed for your life.
Kyle at Rather-Be-Shopping.com writes, 4 Secret Retail Tricks Exposed (and How to Avoid Them!) I think this is an important post for consumers to read since there are definite sneaky tactics that retailers employ to try to part you from your money!
Moneycone writes, What Should You do if You Shopped at Target Between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15. This is a really important post because MANY of us (including me) shopped at Target between these dates! Find out what to do if you’re in this situation.
Michelle at iHeartBudgets writes, How to be a Frugal Friend. I love this post because it is a great reminder that if you have friends who always want to spend spend spend when you go out, there are things you can do about it (without dumping your friend!)
