Hello everyone! Welcome to Weekly Money Roundup! Here I wrap up happenings here at Color Me Frugal during the week and share with you some of my favorite posts that I enjoyed from other sites this week. I hope you’ll enjoy! Happy Valentine’s Day! Is anyone else out there sick and tired of cold weather? I take our dogs out for a walk every morning and I’m pretty sure that at this point in the winter they are tired of the early morning snow walk. Well, I take that back. I’M tired of the early morning snow walk, THEY are just as perky as ever and still eager to chase any rabbits that buzz past. And they don’t even need coffee to be perky. Go figure.
Does anyone have any big weekend plans? We have some cleaning to do this weekend and whole bunch of other odds and ends. I keep a to-do list using an app on my phone, and it’s always pretty light during the week when I don’t have as much time, and then I load myself up with things to do on the weekends! Why do I do that to myself? Well, I know why- because if not for weekends I might not ever get anything done!
I have to send out some major thanks this week to Pauline at Reach Financial Independence and Josh at CNA Finance for both allowing to me do guest posts this week! It’s been really awesome to get to do some guest posts and interact with readers from other sites. Thanks Pauline and Josh!
Below are the posts we published this week:

Tuesday Feb. 11- How to Spot (and Avoid!) an Upsell
Wednesday Feb. 12- Financial Independence or Early Retirement: Which Road Are YOU On?
Here are some articles we enjoyed from other sites this week:
Jacob at iHeartBudgets writes, Used Cars Are Not Money Pits. New Cars Are. I love this post because I completely agree! We here in the CMF household are planning on keeping our cars until they are dead!
Laurie at The Frugal Farmer writes, Credit Cards: Did You Know These Truths? I have to admit, I did not know most of these things, but they are all things that can have a huge impact if you carry credit card debt or use credit cards frequently. This is definitely a post worth checking out.
Sam at Frugaling.org writes, Entrepreneurial Secrets That Turn Side Jobs Into Main Incomes. I really enjoyed this article because that is exactly what I am trying to do right now, and Sam makes some great points and showcases a couple of hugely inspirational examples.
MyMoneyDesign.com wrote a guest post at Young Adult Money called, Beating the 401k Retirement Age- Get Access to Your Money Sooner. I found this post very interesting because my hubby and I hope to leave the 9 to 5 grind some day sooner than 30 years from now, and this may impact us. Worth a read if you are considering retiring early!
Fig at Figuring Money Out writes, The Secret Luxury of Amazon. I found this article fascinating because I had no idea that Amazon had a secret luxury department! Although maybe not so secret now…
